BODY ODOR

Asians compared to other races, may have less of those apocrine glands, the kind of sweat glands that produce body odor; but Asians are prone to Osmiodrosis, the production of objectionably aromatic sweat, usually tolerable.  So always observe proper hygiene and prevent body odor through daily bathing and the use of deodorants.

REJUVENATE

Don't let yourself be stressed out from a long day at work or the unending term papers and projects in school.  Take a break from it all once in awhile. Pamper yourself and rejuvenate.  Treat yourself with a soothing day at the spa, spend time with your loved ones or unwind with friends at the cafe and release that negative energy.  After all, when you're not under stress, you get more productive.  Take a break because you deserve it!

HOW TO CLEAN MAKEUP BRUSH APPLICATORS?

To clean make up brush applicators, wash them with warm soapy water every 2 months and dispose of them after 1-2 years.  For makeup sponges, wash with cool water ever week and dispose of them every month.

HOW LONG DOES MAKE UP LAST?

Mascara expires the fastest and is the worst breeding ground for bacteria.  Change mascara every three months.  Water-based foundation will last for a year and oil based foundation for 18 months.  Eyeliners and lip pencils can last up to 2-3 years and must be sharpened regularly.  If liner gets damp, get rid of it sooner.  Lipsticks can last for 1-2 years.  Storing lipstick in the refrigerator can make it last longer.  Dry products like powders, blushes, and eye shadows can last up to 2 years.

SAFETY MAKE UP TIPS TO KEEP IT BACTERIA FREE

1.  Keep makeup containers tightly closed.

2.  Keep your makeup away from sunlight or hot temperatures.

3.  Do not add liquid to your makeup unless told.  Liquid may put your makeup at high risk for contamination.

4.  Wash or replace applicators once in awhile.

5.  And lastly refrain from borrowing someone else's makeup.

BEAUTY TIPS

Makeup is bacteria's favorite nesting place.  So when do you throw them out?

1.  When it changes color or texture.

2.  When the odor becomes funky.

3.  If you cannot remember when you bought it, throw it away.

Better to be safe than sorry when it comes to your beauty.

THE HAPPY FEET AND THE LUCKY SHOES

Dear Boss:

It's Saturday and it's officially our day! It's the day you clean and pampers us. You make us feel how important we are in your life and are an essential part of almost everything you do- like walking, running, exercising, or just standing. You keep us moisturized that can keep the skin soft, moist, and healthy. Indeed, you give us the best possible attention! Thank you!

Though this morning we just wondered. You let us take a pose with this tag. Are you gonna sell us? How come? Without knowing, we will be your blog guest today.

After the photo shoot, we were ready to go to work. Not to mention that you
were late again. But we are so happy you really care.

We want to thank you for letting us meet other happy feet too. We hope that you won't get tired of cleaning and taking care of us for many years to come. We hope that you still gonna wear the right shoes and avoid shoes with no heels but don't ever wear high heels. Since you are getting old, we have to remind you to regularly massage us and apply moisturizer liberally except for between the toes, which should not be left wet. Please cut our toenails properly. Cut them straight across with the end of the toes if possible to avoid ingrown toenails. If the ingrown toenails develops, see a podiatrist for treatment. Remember, you are not a doctor so do not try to be one. Take care of calluses. If you don't want to do the work of removing calluses yourself anymore, get a pedicure! Make sure you don't stand or sit too long. Doing either for extended periods of time can contribute to poor circulation in us. Please remove your shoes when you're inside your home. But go barefoot only when it's safe. But please wear your shoes outdoors to protect us in danger of stepping on sharp stones or other objects that might bruise or cut us. And last but not the least, stretch before exercising.

Please remember us with these idioms:

  • at one's feet
  • be on one's feet
  • both feet on the ground
  • cold feet
  • feet of clay
  • get to one's feet
  • get under someone's feet
  • keep one's feet
  • put one's feet up
  • stand on one's own two feet
Lastly, we would like to thank Cuticle remover, Benzalkonium Chloride, Cuticle nipper, nail pusher, and nail cutter for our grooming.

Very truly yours,

HAPPY FEET :-)

STEPS TO THE PERFECT SHAVE

I comfortably used this cheap blade since nagkaroon ako ng face hair and mustache.  Takot ako gumamit ng razor.  But the fact is I don't know how to use it until I've read the proper way of shaving.

Shaving can scrape off microscopic layers of skin & leave your face feeling stung and irritated.  To avoid this, lubricate your face before shaving.  A good shaving cream should form a slippery cushion that allows the shaving blades to glide without scraping your skin.  Leave it on your face for about a minute before you shave.  This will guarantee a better shave and a fresher feeling after shaving.

Shave in the shower.  Shaving should be the last thing you do before you leave the shower.  The warm moisture of a shower makes your facial hairs soft and plump and opens up your pores wi\hich all help in giving you a cleaner, more refreshing shave.

Here's some excellent shaving advice.  Avoid shaving the moment you get up in the morning.  If possible, give your skin time to wake up a little.  This will allow the "puffiness" that you get from fluids collecting in your skin during the night to recede.  This means you and a good day to look forward to.

Here are four steps to the perfect shave:

1.  Apply shaving gel.  This will give you a smoother, more comfortable shave.

2.  Make sure you choose the right razor to ensure the closest shave possible.

3.  Use a sharp, fresh blade.  Make sure to apply light pressure on your face.

4.  Nourish and restore your skin after shaving with an after shave flash.

Trivia:  In real life, I want to be called a plain blade rather than a double blade.

THIS BLOG'S MAIN & SPECIALIZED CATEGORIES

On the day I posted the link of my website on Facebook, I received some surprised reactions, personal attention, some calls, some SMS texts and comments of encouragement, understanding and support.  Those feedback made me realize that I will not talk only about personal experiences and life's lessons but also my passion in arts and photography.  I will blog about business and virtual views too.  I would love to talk about entertainment, foods & occasions as well.  These are the main categories of this blog.

I like fashion, styles, and trends; health and beauty; hobbies and collecting and travel.  I will write these specialized categories on this blog sometimes.
