SOME OF MY PERSONAL SECRETS

This is one of the personal secret or hidden agenda I shared online.

I have some more secrets but I can't tell them publicly.  I even can't share it to my personal friends.  Not at all.  There are some secrets that remained to keep within ourselves.  I even have some people's secrets.  I am not the type who tell secrets of someone to other people though.  Especially if both parties are my friends.  Secret is SACRED for me even we will turn enemies.  UNLESS you broadcast mine. Well, fair is fair.

This is a proof of one of the memorable moments happened in my life.  I keep it somewhere in my stuff but I forgot to hide it totally that one time my sister was looking for some photos and I guess she saw this private photo.

Sis:  I got the photos of  Nonoy and Toto's birthday celebration to show it to our niece Jirlie.

Moi:  Where did you find the filed photos?
Sis:  Somewhere there.....

Moi:  (Patay).  Hmmmm.  Ah okay (deadma lang).

After that she always looks curious in everything I am doing especially when I am writing something like rough drops and the "post it"  messages I  am handwriting, take photos of it and posting it on Facebook kind of ka-ek ekan.

I've noticed her pagma-manman attitude.  She become suspicious and I got irritated.  I do understand that she is in her menopausal stage but sometimes I feel something uneasy like having dysmenorrhea.  Lol.    One time, she looked suspicious looking on what I was doing.  I was about to write inspirational quote for the day.  I ended up writing this one and I left the area to let her read it.  It's actually for her.

Despite of misunderstanding, I still love her and I owe her a lot especially my degree.  I am just concerned for her health.  I told her the cause of smoking. That's the most attempt I can do.  I can't just ordered her to STOP SMOKING. ( with a smile).  The bottom line also is to stop her stalking me.  I feel unfomfortable.  Gusto ko ako lang ang mag-stalk.  Ha-ha.

POSTCARDS FOR THIS WEEK 03/21-25/2011

I send postcards every week in order to receive some postcards in return.  This week, I got postcards from four different countries namely Japan, Poland, Portugal and the US.

The postcard from Japan was a few days after the earthquake.  It was a sad tragedy that touched the alarmed the entire world.  But it's a great feeling and almost relieved to know someone's OKAY.  I salute for the courage and being strong of the Japanese people in the midst of natural disaster.

This is the Nijo Castle in Kyoto.  It's one of the most famous sites in JAPAN.

This is a Neptune Fountain in the center of the old town of Gdansk, Poland.  A beautiful landmark should I say.

Jose sent an envelope that contained four postcards.  This postcard of roses made me :-)  I love love love roses.

I love the beach!  This postcard came from the US.  I like the sticker of a shell and a crab on the back of the postcard.

Thank you guys for the beautiful postcards.  They inspired me to continue sending more postcards.  See you next week!

THANK YOU FOR THE BIRTHDAY GREETINGS- PART 1

When I was just a kid, I was excited to have a birthday party.  It happened when I celebrated my 7th birthday.  I had a birthday celebration like a fiesta.

Receiving birthday gifts made me excited when I was in my teen years.

I loved birthday surprises when I was in my 20's.

I forgot about my birthday and I didn't want to count my age when I reached 30.

And it was my birthday last March 13.  This year, I felt a high level of excitement.  The reason was just so simple.  I was excited much not for any birthday surprises, gifts nor celebration but for the birthday greetings.  And I got what I expected.  The number of birthday wishers reached more than my 35 years of existence.  That's a major major achievement for me. Obviously, facebook is the way and made most of the birthday greetings I've wished.  I actually excited who gonna greet me and I want to discover  kung paano sila (my friends) naging parte ng buhay.

I have a long list of birthday wishers and I will enumerate them (ikaw, sila, kayo).  Not only that, I will tell kung pa'no ko kayo nakilala, ano ang naging influence nyo sa akin at 'yung mga memorable moments natin. LoL.

So let's start the countdown....

ADVANCE HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

DANNIEL TILO-  Someday you will try to search your name online and I am sure this is one of the page results.  Maybe this will be the top result since you don't have any online account yet.  At 12, we brought you in the city for the first time and was able to tour you around the metro.  I remembered myself then.  Ganyan rin kasi ang age ko noong first time ko pumunta ng ciudad.  Anyways, thanks for the advance birthday greeting.  Mas excited ka pa sa akon.  And thanks for the great time playing with you guys.

BRY-  You are one of my blog idols and one of my original blog friends. We connected with Mel (I missed her) from blogger to facebook.  I like you for being true to yourself and to other people.  May determination sa buhay.  Yung nag-iisang weakness mo lang is LOVE.  You are too young pa naman at ang POGI pa!  I believe in your ideas and I believe there someone RESERVED for you.  Naks!  I always love reading your posts kahit late ko na mabasa minsan.  Thank you for inspiring me (not only me).

ALBERT JULIT:  Megah baw!  You are part of my adventures especially the La Puerta (Pwerte gid), the Guisi and the Tatlong Pulo escapades.  Although, we've been together before pa, during Payless time.  Pero lately lang ta gid nag-close kag nag-bonding nga duha and even shared our secrets.  I am looking forward to share great moments with you more more more!
Nan!  Nakapoy ka gid Bert?  Natulugan ka samtang gasakay sa tricycle.  Feel awkward si Socsy cmu.  Single pa na nga daan.  hehehe

NG ROSE:-)  You always make me smile especially kung nagayuhum ka man.  Wala galubad ang yuhumkag beautiful man gyapon.  I am thankful for all your help.  I love listening your stories and the chika-chika.  And I like the unique endearment-  SUGAR (original na 'ya).  I admire you having a happy family of three.

ON TIME BIRTHDAY GREETINGS

Thanks sa effort of greeting me on my birthday.  I can still imagine, kulit-kulit ka gid ya sang college.  Alamon sa Accounting.  Ginapa-ilog mo gid ko.  Successful and responsible ka na gid ya subong Mig.  May sariling pamilya, may obra, may kwarta kag gwapo man gyapon.

DYAN SAPADEN:  It was my BFF Marigold who always the first greeted me at around 12 am of March 13 for previous years.  This year, ikaw na. MF as we call each other.  We are both KAPAMILYA.  We like the same guy.  But this year kelangan ko na mag-BACK OFF. You are so generous and I learned more of the gay words from you, Waley!  I missed our agua-bendita plurk moment.

Thanks for everything MF!  Thanks for these stuff (pangladlad showcase.

IT'S BETTER LATE THAN FORGET ABOUT IT

NG CHUCHI HAPIN:  Even though indi na ta updanay kag wala na ta ka-bonding, amo ka man gyapon- wala gabag-o kag wala man gadaan.  Jolly man gyapon and you never forget my birthday.  I still treasure the moment we're together especially sa Dumaguete kag sa Bacolod Trip.

NG NOR:  You've been nice to me since I first met you.  You are always willing to help, give advices and share ideas.  Pwede mangin, iloy, kapatid, lola, officemate, friend.   Thanks for the company and the comfort!

ALLEN YU:  You are the cutest blogger for me. I admire your creativity in writing and I love reading your stories.  Keep it up!  I always following your pasobog sa Twitter at yung kulit comments nyo sa Facebook.  Not to mention that Allen-is-missing-while-hiking-somewhere-in-the-mountain post. Thanks for sharing your talents lil bro!

to be continued.....

POSTCARDS AROUND THE WORLD.

I sent another set of postcards this week.  Most of them were "thank you" postcards.  One was a private swap postcard.  They were ten all in all.  I made one photocard for a unique postcrosser from Australia.  He wish to receive something artsy.  Handmade card is AWESOME for him.  He appreciate snail-mail and interested in what ones write than what kind of card he'll receive.  I wrote a wish, a poem and revealed a secret :-)

He likes drawing and painting so I drew roses.
I included the Philippine flag sticker and a 5 centavo Philippine coin.

This is the front view of the photocard in three folds.

In return, I received 8 postcards.  Here they are:

A beautiful painting, BELARUS

ALENA:  Thanks for this beautiful painting of your city.  I like the stamps as well!

Vilnius, Lithuania

UGNE:  I sent a postcard for you before I received yours.  Whatta coincidence!  It's like we just exchanged postcard.  I like your postcard of the famous church.   You used a couple of unique stamps too!

traditional costumes of Finland

SARI:  I like the traditional costume postcard you sent.  I really appreciate the effort.  And I like the stamp too!

The rose garden by Beatrice Parsons

Beatrice Parsons (1869-1955) was born in London and studied art at the Royal Academy Schools.  She worked in watercolor and painted some portrait and genre subjects but specialized in pictures of old English gardens.  She exhibited at the Royal Academy from 1899 onwards.

ANNEMIEKE:  First off, thanks for checking this blog and for the appreciation of my photos.  If you want to receive some photos of the Dinagyang Festival costume photos, I am glad to send you some.  Just let me know.  Thanks too for choosing the painting of the rose garden.  I am into arts and I paint/draw roses as well.  You have the best choice of postcard for me!

KUIB KYIV, SPAIN

ALEXANDRA:  Thanks for sending the postcard of Kuib, Kyiv.  I find it so unique.  I also like the stamp!

City of Segovia, SPAIN

JOANNA:  The stamps are colorful!  Thanks for the architectural structures of the Segovia city.

COMMENT TURNED POST

RedLan commented:  Idol! I do not expect to read this kind of comments”.

Kaya I confided this matter sa isang comedian.  At the same time ramdam ko ang sakit sa iyong puso kaya sumulat ako sa MMK.  At dahil idol kita and I am always a fan, I asked a favor to one of my favorite actors, one of the popular in this generation, to share his simple beginnings, his simple life before he entered showbiz.

Above paragraph is my comment to T. R Aurelius' particular post.  The post below is its continuation.
~*~o~*~o~*~o~*~o~*~o~*~o~*~o~*~o~*~o~*~o~*~o~*~o~*~o~*~o~*~o~*~o~*~o~*~o~*
THE COMEDIAN

May natanggap akong BBM.  Isang  blog link.  The next page went directly to this URL:  http colon double slash theoswriting dot blogspot dot com.

Aha!  Kaya pala you have interest in music, kapangalan mo pala ang isang singer.  Teka, related ka ba kay Jake?  May nakita akong pictures mo.

Kaya sa bawat “that kind of answers” na narinig mo mula sa mga kaibigan mo, tapatan mo rin ng answers that they will not expect to hear from you.

and worst:

Sample!- Vice Panget.
O sha, call time ko na. ShowTime na!

HOST OF DRAMA ANTHOLOGY

"Criticism makes us grow.  Correction is a kindness.  Loyal friends will correct or criticize one another; even when it’s painful and disruptive to relationships to do so.  It’s one of the ways we show love and help one another to grow stronger.  As proverbs 27:6 states:  Faithful are the wound of a friend."

"Growth in grace sometimes comes through the kind but unpleasant correction of a loyal friend. Do not refuse it, for “he who receives correction is prudent” (Prov. 15:5 and wise” (9:8-9)."

"When others give us compliments, they are so easy to believe; and through it’s wise to take rebukes, we find them harder to receive"- Sper

"Indeed, correction or criticism from loyal friends can help us change for the better.  And when it’s your time to shine, they automatically become your number one fans and are one to be proud of you.  Good luck."

"Eto po si Char Char Saint.  Magandang gabi Kapamilya."

THE VERSATILE ACTOR

3 in 1.  In short, versatile.

I can’t give you advices but I will share it that experience.  It’s something like an example.  “A good example has more value than a good advice.”

One time at school, I found myself in danger of failing in Chemistry.  But my teacher said that whoever was present that day would receive a passing grade if that student could do whatever the teacher asked.  When it was my time to show what I’ve got, the teacher asked:  “Do you know how to sing?”

“No sir”, I replied.

Teacher:  “Do you know how to act?”

“No sir”, I replied once again.

My teacher asked the third question, “Can you dance?”

I offered to show off my basketball skills instead.  But since there was no hoop inside the classroom, I was forced to dance.  I said “Okay”.  Nung nag-dance ako.  Talagang natawa siya at sinabi, “Stop it Gerald, you look like a monkey.”  That was it!

You can read my whole story on StarStudio latest issue.  Kung bitter ka man ngayon, don’t stop to be better.   In the future makamit mo rin yung nakamit ko.  Pogi points tayo eh!

OUR BORACAY HAPPY MOMENTS WAY BACK

THE BORACAY DESTINATION that you can afford
Opened on October 2003, the Boracay Courtyard Beach Resort is the Boracay destination of choice of travel agencies because it offers the best alternative for the budget-conscious vacationer.  It is centrally located at Station 2 with a minute walk to the beach.

There's Barkada package available that can accommodate from 4 to 6 persons in a room.

(It's actually year 2003 before the hotel grand opening.  This page I made just recently that I forgot the exact year of our visit)

Another resort hotel was built.  La Carmela de Boracay is the sister resort hotel of Boracay Courtyard.  It is also located in Station 2.  It also offers affordable rates.  It serves breakfast, lunch and dinner at very affordable prices.  Both are owned by Samuel "Boy" So.  We went back after two years.  Thanks to Mr. Boy So for the free accommodation.
I wanted to try digital scrapbooking online but there's something that hold me back.  If I divert my creativity in online scrapbooking, what happened to the stocked photos I keep on the file?  It will be forever untouched.  So, I continue doing hands on scrapbooking. Doing cut-paste process is a fun for me.
After my first visit in the island of Boracay, I made a photo album of it.  Here's some of the pages:

This is somewhat a fun journey I wrote while we travel          It's the Boracay sand I brought home!
from the bus terminal until we arrived in Caticlan Jetty
Port Terminal.

That's the bus tickets!                                                                              my officemates :-)

a couple souvenir shots...                                                                          That's me way back 2003

It's actually called Willy's Rock :-)                                                 We were watching the Boracay sunset.

My bestfriend forever Marigold.                                                       Sanburn?  Yes!

The last shots!

I am working the second photo scrapbook.

I seldom meet my former officemates nowadays but these photos remind me of our Boracay happy moments and fun together.  I treasure these photos as much as I treasure the people on it.

PATTY AND POTTY; AZKALS VS. ASKAL; COPY OR REAL

PATTY AND POTTY

In American English, Patty is a serving of ground meat or meat substitutes.   It is also called a burger

Potty (arinola), on the other hand is a portable toilet bowl that is still used in the Philippines specifically in the remote areas.  And this is my own version shot.

~*~o~*~o~*~o~*~o~*~o~*~o~*~o~*~o~*~o~*~o~*~o~*~o~*~o~*~o~*~o~*~o~*~o~*~o~*
AZKALS VS. ASKAL

Askals is a popular Philippine football team.

source:  Askals

Originally, Askal is the Tagalog contraction of the word asong kalya or street dog.  This is the real Askal.  Somewhat an Askal scandal.

COPY or REAL

I found a cartoon drawing online. It made me smile.  Not the fact that it's so cute but I remember a pose that looks like this.

This photo is for real.  My own version of half-hide-half show pose.  LoL!
