FREELANCE I AM

People come and go.  There's no assurance that friends are forever.  I don't set expectations in friendship but I treat it fairly.

I have different sets of unique friends.  I am not the Mr. Friendship type but I tried to be nice to everybody.  I considered myself as a freelance friend.  I don't exert effort but I always appreciate.  I am not that vocal but I usually speak from the heart.

I don't choose friends.  I don't go for good looks or for one's status of life.  I ended up laughing with them- talking with the same interest and passion.  I have to admit, I am not an active kind of friend.  I am not always there. I don't send constant text messages.  I am invisible most of the time but I value the friendship itself and my friends. Yeah, I forgot to text, call, and even say hi to my unique friends but I don't forget them.  I think of them often.  I count my blessings everyday and having them is one of  those blessings. Finally, I was able to have fun with some of my friends recently.

A with E, where's the O and U? It was November 2010 the last time I met Edgar (with cap) -that was time I went to Banate. On the other hand, Albert (in white shirt) and I had bonding time together last December 2010.  We keep on texting though. Back then, we had great time from Robinsons Place to Plazuela, Iloilo on Dinagyang day.  We kept updating while walking-  Talking about the latest news in the third world of human beings and there's an untold story of Albert's past.

Group number 3-  Ano ka ya nga Grupo?  Freelance!- Our friendship just renewed.  Ng Cel, Bec-Bec, Micai and John are my co-workers and friends in one.  They have their own uniqueness too!  From them I learned to be thoughtful and appreciate kindness.  This photo was taken @ Villa beach for John's advance birthday treat for us.  Oh that will be tomorrow!  Happy birthday Iloy!

Moment with mother and daughter-  They are like just sisters!  I always love being with them. I want them to be my sisters  And we become three sisters!  Kidding.  We enjoyed watching fireworks display during the celebration of Chinese New Year last January 27 of this year.  We had fun with Micai.

Tabing and Tata- The siblings.   I always see myself in them especially when I explored the city for the first time.  In friendship, you give a favor and you get a surprised reward.  You are happy to see some people who are happy.  You make them happy in a simple way and it makes you happy at the same time. The last time I met them was in May last year and we reunited this January.

A new beautiful place with beautiful people-  Imee is my former co-worker.  Though we don't see each other much, we still friends who communicate each other thru text from time to time.  Biboy on the other hand is Imee's best friend.  We enjoyed a day of adventure @ Garin Farm in San Joaquin, Iloilo.  I got the chance to meet Wowie and Jeannica.  Ng Bebe and her daughter were there too!

I still have more unique friends.  I wish I have a chance to bond with them again.  I missed the moment but I missed them more!

NO MORE GUESSING GAMES- THE MESS REVEALED

I checked a particularly old post on my other blog. The post is about "how to organize".  And it was August 2010 the last time I cleaned up my home shelves of books and hard copy documents.  I tried to be organized.  I need to segregate and clean my home base work area from time to time since I am always surrounded with paper works.  My work is not only do the accounting but also filing the clients' documents and taxes in order to update their records that is.  Aside from that, I have my own personal art tools, materials and collections at home.  So whether you have a big or small space, it is need to be organized from time to time.  There are new things you bought and of course there are things you need to let go.  I mean, you need to throw like old or expired documents.

My shelves which I organized last August 2010.

And the shelves before December 24, 2011.  Ha-ha.  Whatta mess again.  It was shouting at me, "clean me!, clean me on Christmas day!"  So I did the cleaning on Christmas eve until the Christmas day on the following day.

It is organized again!

I applied the color coding.  I wrote the labels on the yellow memo pad.  I just check what folder to pull out and get the particularly documents I need to check or get the next time.  No more guessing game men!

It's the same scenario in the office.  A mess not not a total disaster.  I already see some developments on myself when it comes to organizing my things and files.  Step by step basis but I know I grow everyday.  Not to mention am getting old at the same time.
This is my table when I have lots of work to do.

However, I see to it that it is clean at the end of the day.  I applied the rule "no files on the table before going home".  It looks refreshing to see your no-clutter work table on the next morning.  My secret?  No, I won't share.  Just don't open my drawer!  Ha-ha. For that, my next goal is how to organize my drawer.
You can see the only selected things on my table.

1.  The DIY recycled and crafted ice-cream small container for my pencils, fasteners, stapler wires etc.

2.  Banig little box for paper clips

3 Star paper corporation's memo pad

4.  Paper file folders available @ National Book Store

5.  Pen holder given by John which served as paperweight

MY FIRST ATTEMPT FOR A PRODUCTIVE YEAR 2012

This is my first attempt for a productive year 2012 (as what I've stated here--->.  I treated myself on the second Sunday of January (the 8th).  It's only on Sunday that I can have time for myself and do whatever I want to do the whole day.  Let's call it my day-off.

I missed going to the church on Sunday morning.  I did it before but I messed that schedule last year because I was out of town during weekends.  So here I go back to my old Sunday schedule. I like going to church and attend the early morning mass @ 8 am.  I like hearing the first mass because it's not much crowded. Yet, I woke up late and arrived in the church passed 8 and the mass was already started (on the homily part particularly).  So I decided to attend on the next mass schedule.  I did the morning walk until I was tired and hungry.

And Jollibee was the answer.  I missed the jolly spaghetti!

@ exactly nine the church was ready for the second mass.

After the mass I went to my part time job.  I need to earn extra money. I arrived in the work place almost twelve noon and done my recording @ 1:30 pm.

Had my late lunch at Mang Inasal.  It's my first time to visit the place after they launched the more the many-yer promo.  I like the waiter's new uniform (the checkered white and red).  Aside from their Turon split, the Mang Inasal - Robinsons Iloilo Annex branch has more good looking waiters.  This is just a tip to make your meal more enjoyable.  Makagalana!  according to my office-mate.

I know Mamang will make me cry. That's why, I watched the movie "A Mother's Story" alone.

Back to my list of my new year resolutions.

*Going to church every week. (checked)

*Have time for myself. (checked)

It's somewhat helpful to have goals and a to-do-list to follow. It's partly successful!

CELEBRATING THE NEW YEAR IN A SIMPLE WAY

Sometimes I went home almost six months in a year.  There was a time I went home once a year!  And that is only during New year!  Needless to say, my hometown is only 22.5 kilometers from the city.

No matter how busy I am, I see to it to go home on new year.  Like what I've said, I want to spend and start my new year with my own family.

New year's eve 2011 was a fine day unlike the last year of 2010.  This is our simple and weary chapel.  If I will win in the 6/42 or 6/45 or 6/49 or 6/55lotto, I will build the big one!

the sampayan or cloth line still exists in the province.

'to dating daan

Luckily I was able to take a shot of the last sunset of 2011

Two of the family kids back home.  I still join them playing.  Ako I isip bata pa rin!

The additional member in the family.  :-)

The cutest of them all but kinda aloof!

I tried to make a difference.  The ending....my sister was sick during the new year's eve.  Buti na lang meron nito...ready to eat.  That's the reason why I wanted to learn basic cooking.  Ha-ha!

Sitting in the hilltop is our New year's eve tradition.  Watching the fireworks in the far away city sky.

Unfortunately, I was not able to catch the new year's sunrise.  I woke up late.  I took a photo of the rice fields instead.

MY PRODUCTIVE AND HEALTHY PLANS FOR 2012

HAPPY NEW YEAR 2012!
-the year of the fire dragon

So many things I want to achieve this year.  Unlike the previous years, I just enjoyed every moment that life offered.  I had the attitude to go with the flow.  I wasted much time but I also gain some friends, learned from my mistakes and experiences.  This year, I set goals for myself.  I am kinda matured and I am in the period of realization I guess.  Lol! For 2012, I wanted to change for the better.  I want to do the right things.  I will be more positive and responsible.  I have to value and appreciate everything.

So here's the list of my new year resolutions in random:

*  Buy something as a gift for myself and continue rewarding nice people with little gifts.  I will buy Christmas gift(s) every month.  I will not spend much.  I  should shop wisely.

* I wanted to learn basic cooking so that I can eat even I am alone.  I can save money then.

* I should weigh things.  I have to balance and have time for friends, family, God, work and for myself.

* There should be an art project to do every month.

*  I will travel or just going out of town to appreciate mother nature  It is also the time to unwind.  I need to relax even just once a month.

* Going to church every week.

* I will continue blogging....

For negative side:  I'll try to lessen my coffee and soda intake and refrain from viewing pornographic materials online.  Lmao!

What else?  I will update this list later.

P.S.  Finally I just updated this blog.  Actually this is a reward post because I've done one work assignment tonight.  De-stress muna.
