ISDA AND DODIE

I was inside the grocery store and about to pay the grocery items on the tray I was holding when I heard my cellphone's ringing.  It's quarter to eight in the evening, everybody was on the rush, last minute mode for the store will be closed at exactly eight.  I was @ Robinson's Iloilo.  Back then, I checked my mobile phone, got it out from the knitted mobile purse.I received one missed call and a text message.  It came from my sister, the one I live with but she went home in the province today.  Maybe there was an emergency or just a text asking if am already home.  My mother always wanted to know I am secured when I left alone in the city.  I was right or the second thought is right. 

Sister (through text):  Are you home already?
Moi:  not yet.  why?
Sister:  Later when you arrive home, please ask Isda if kumain na si Dodie.
Moi:  Okay.

When I arrived home....
Moi:  Ng "S", kumain na ba si Dodie, Diding (my sister's nick) asked through text.
Isda:  Oo, Pork adobo ang ulam niya.

So I texted my sister right away, informing her the good news.

"Okay, thanks, she replied immediately.

Trivia:  ISDA is our home companion and DODIE is the latest addition in our dog's clan.  Panalo ang name ng tao parang hayop.  Samantala ang pangalan ng aso parang name ng tao.

Meet Dodie

Parang mas mahal pa nila ang mga aso keysa sa akin.  Kidding!  Ang totoo niyan merong food rin na iniwan para sa akin. 

Ang totoo kasi I am not good in kitchen department.  I am lazy to cook. 


Wala akong yaya pero merong sister na nag-aalaga.
Wala akong kusinera pero merong sister na taga pagluto.
Wala akong labandera pero merong sister na taga laba.
Kulang na lang sa akin ay "banaba".  Lol

DINAGYANG FESTIVAL 2011- OPENING SALVO

Of all the festivals here in Iloilo City, it's Dinagyang Festival that makes me excite.  I always join and be a part of the said celebration every year.  It's the Iloilo's big event!

I was able to catch the Opening Salvo today despite of busy work schedule.  In addition, I was able to take some few shots.

The Dinagyang Festival opening salvo started at 3 pm after a mass offering at San Jose Parish church.  There are more Dinagyang Festival activities until the last day of the Dinagyang Festival.  There will be a Dinagyang photo exhibit from January 16 to 23.  The Dinagyang Food Festival will start on January 19 to 23 at Delgado Street.  The Miss Iloilo Dinagyang coronation night will be on January 20 at SM Cinema 6 with Derek Ramsey as a special guest.  The Luces in the Sky Part 1 will be on January 21 at 7 pm and the part 2 will be on the next night.  The highlight of the Dinagyang Festival is the Dinagyang ATi contest on January 23, 2011 at 8 am.

ASAP will be in Iloilo on January 23, 2011 at 12 noon at Iloilo Sports Complex.  Gerald Anderson, Maricar Reyes, Coco Martin and more Kapamilya stars will be here.

THE REAL STARS

I have few true friends I can call "stars".  They always there even in my darkness moment just to enlighten me.  I don't choose friends by the status of life.  I keep those who touched my life.  They are stars that have real quality.

I have an old friend @ nearly 60's

And the youngest is 15 going to 16 this coming 19th of January

Imperfection is not an issue in friendship

Beauty is not a qualification at all.

I treat my friends fairly.  I do respect them the way they respect me..  I can say I am lucky to have them.  I am proud to say I found true friends.

GOODBYE 2010, HELLO 2011

pagsulat sa journal kung sakaling manalo ang loo.  If not, ipagpatuloy ko pa rin ang pagsulat dito.  I love to write eh.  In fact, nabili ko 'tong scratch pad sa SM  yesterday afternoon.  Affordable lang 'tong scratch pad pero maganda namang sulatan.  Excited pa nga keysa akin si Dudie.  Gusto akong unahan sa pagsulat.  Kaso, instead na ballpen ang gamitin, 'yung ngipin niya ang gusto niyang gamitin.  Aso pala si Dudie.  Dating alaga ng kapitbahay pero ngayon nabili na namin.  Additional kina Pana, Powkie at ang matandang asong si Snoopy.

Ang isa pang bagay na gusto kung i-accomplish next year is yung relationship ko sa Diyos na buong puso.  Gusto ko siyang maging lubusan, wholeheartedly o itudo.  I will not try but I'll do.  May hiya pa naman ako.  Sa tuwing humihimgi ako ng solusyon sa aking problema, He always make a way.  Next year gusto ko ring i-accomplish yung double S- save and share.

I am excited to welcome the 2011 but there were good memories of 201o na gusto kong baonin.  And the most memorable moment na nangyari sa akin ay ang pag-attend ko ng Grand Alumni sa school kung saan ako nag-aral ng elementarya.  For almost 20 years na hindi ko nakita anf mga kaklase ko ay nakasama ko noong December 26 during our grand reunion.  "yung iba nga hindi ko na maalala.  Meron namang familiar ang mukha pero di ko matandaan ang pangalan.  Walang may nagbago sa kanila, yung body size lang naman namin-most of us large size na.  And most of them may mga sariling pamilya na.
